AirTran is preparing to launch service to Nassau, Bahamas (NAS) and Montego Bay, Jamaica (MBJ), marking the airline’s expanded service to international gateways. Service is also available to destinations in Mexico. Flights to Nassau will begin Dec. 17, while flights to Montego Bay are slated to begin Feb. 11, 2010.

My train arrived early at Penn Station and despite the torrential rain, I was able to hail a cab and head to the property. The doorman helped me with my bags and escorted me to the front desk. I must say the entire staff was friendly and helpful. Though it was still a couple of hours before the official check-in time, my room was ready and I settled in within a few minutes.
